@PostMasterGeneral I’ve done both. If something worth talking has happened since the last session, I’ll bring it up. If I don’t have anything to talk about (it usually happens when I’ve been working until five minutes before the appointment), then my therapist picks a topic we had talked about in the previous weeks

@PostMasterGeneral I'm doing psychoanalysis, this is a bit different from other forms of therapy. The goal is both to get into a (kinda) stream of consciousness and at the same time to (learn to) analyze what lies beneath it. I usually start with something that happened recently that I'm still processing and it goes from there to wherever.
